SolidariTea began in the UK as an initiative of The Tony Blair Faith Foundation, to encourage people of multi faiths to meet and raise money for UN Millennium Development goals.
The initiative was brought to the UAE by Theresa Tsui and 'mamavents' founder Kellie Whitehead, after a Dubai teenager, who had heard about the Faith Foundation at her School shared her thoughts, Our reaction was immediate -

Since it's conception in April 2010, SolidariTea has served to bring together local causes and the people who can help. By raising either funds or simply awareness, or even linking together the people who can mutually help, we enjoy thoughtful, stylish events whilst spreading the SolidariTea message.
In just 7 months SolidariTea Arabia has held 3 big events and instigated 10 independent initiatives – the amazing success has raised thousand of dirhams for needy causes but most importantly raised awareness for many others and put people into contact with others who can help in their own way – from passing food to special care homes to collecting teddies for the children of Gaza.
